Tuesday 1st November 2005 
LEFT Barry Brian came under pressure early against Matthew Parsons in a Centre Counter ,  
drifted into time trouble,and spilled a couple of pawns. His flag dropped on the last move before the  
time control. 
Right: In a Ruy Lopez  a neat Queen offer from Tony Aguirre against Nigel Hepworth netted 
a piece and Tony won quickly 
                            
Front :Paul Jackson went a piece up in a French defence against Peter Czerwinski, but left his King exposed. Peter took advantage and perpetual checks netted him a draw. [Paul won the rematch] 
Middle: Rudy van Kemenade won quickly playing a Petroff defence against Simon Anscombe. 
Back: In a bruising punch out resulting from a Dutch Stonewall defence David Woodhead, after a speculative sacrifice, finished up with three pawns against Robert Sutclife's Bishop. Robert won a tense finish in the last couple of minutes of the Quickplay finish. 
Wednesday 2nd December at the Chartist Roger Tuddenham spectacularly defeated Eddie Mellor in a Blackmar Diemer gambit using the old Greek gift sacrifice. 
Tuesday 6th December 2005  
Rudy van Kemenade  convincingly defeated            Stewart the" Garden Gnome " Thompson  
Peter Shaw in a Modern Benoni Reversed               lost in the ending to Robert Sutcliffe. 
      
 
Matthew Parsons  cheekily played 2. Qh5 ?! against Roger Tuddenham, went into an ending a pawn up and won. 
Antonio Aguirre [middle of photo] built up a strong attack against Paul Jackson 's Q-side castling and finished with a neat Queen sacrifice.

Leo Keely drew, then lost to James Lawson. 
Mehool Shah  defeated  Bill Lumley.
